The annual Kilpeck Village BBQ went ahead last night and was another great success. A fun evening out for all of the family with the usual mix of food, games, raffle prizes and most importantly, a chance to catch up with friends and neighbours.
So on behalf of everybody who attended, Kilpeck Village News would like to say a big thank you to everybody on the Kilpeck Village Hall committee (and their band of volunteers), who have given their valuable time to put together this popular event – not just on the day itself, but in the weeks and months leading up to the day.
This year’s kilpeck BBQ will now take place on the village green Saturday 6th September from 5.30pm until dark.
Traditionally the BBQ takes place in July, but regrettably due to a dwindling committee and subsequent shortage of volunteers, the event has had to be moved to a later date. This event is always well attended and so many hands are always needed to help it to run smoothly.
If you live locally and would like the event to continue on an annual basis, please come along to the Kilpeck Village Hall AGM in October and pledge your support.
Unfortunately due to the horrendous weather forecast (heavy rain from early evening tonight) we have decided to postpone the Kilpeck BBQ and will amalgamate it with the Community Games planned for Saturday 24th August.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused but are certain people will understand.
