The Kilpeck Community Games and BBQ – 24th August 2013

Make a date in your diary for Saturday 24th August 2013 as Kilpeck is going to have its first combined Community Games and BBQ!

Following the enormous success of last years Community Games, it was decided to make this a regular event and the silliness starts at 2.00pm.  It doesn’t matter if you are as fit as Jessica Ennis or find putting on your shoes a marathon –  there is something for everyone!

IMG_0746Once the games have finished, the fun continues with this year’s Kilpeck BBQ – postponed from July, all the usual fun and games will be there, including the Greasy Pole, Skittles, The Golf Game (which always gets very competitive) and the Kilpeck Challenge – a family activity sheet featuring a quiz and puzzles for all ages.

This year also features the first ever Bear Race with 6 eager contenders waiting for your support.  Which one do you think will win?

Alternatively, if all of this sounds like a lot of effort for a bank holiday weekend just sit down under the giant Oak Tree on the green with a tasty burger or sausage and enjoy watching the activities.

So come and join us – it doesn’t matter if you’re a local or just visiting the area – everybody is welcome!

All funds raised on the day go to Kilpeck Village Hall.  These funds are used for ongoing maintenance of refurbishment of the hall, and to cover the cost of future events.  For further details contact admin@kilpeckvillagenews.co.uk.
